In 2026, the World One Health Congress returns for its ninth edition, bringing together a global community of experts dedicated to advancing One Health science and policy. Over the course of four days, the Congress will feature a dynamic and forward-thinking agenda, with parallel tracks covering One Health science, antimicrobial agents and resistance, and the science-policy interface, among other critical topics.

This leading international forum will foster discussions on major One Health challenges, facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge research, and highlight policy developments shaping the future of health for humans, animals, and the environment. Through an open call for abstracts, groundbreaking work from distinguished scientists and thought leaders will take center stage.

ICAP will be represented at the congress with the presentation of an abstract entitled Strengthening subnational emergency preparedness in Kazakhstan through simulation-based multisectoral training,” co-authored by ICAP’s regional director in Central Asia Anna Derybina, and regional program coordinator Assem Suleimenova, along with colleagues from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Suleimenova will be at the conference to present the research.
