In October, ICAP’s annual leadership meeting brought directors from 16 countries where ICAP works to New York City.
The week-long meeting included a special symposium on ICAP’s innovations in science and service. Each ICAP country team presented a poster highlighting an innovative aspect of their current work, from health services in Rwanda for survivors of gender-based violence to quick-win interventions to improve the quality of ART in post-conflict South Sudan. The poster session was followed by a discussion moderated by ICAP Director Wafaa El-Sadr, ICAP staff and speakers from the Mailman School of Public Health, including: Lynn Friedman, Professor of Population and Family Health, Sandro Galea, Chair, Department of Epidemiology; Margaret Kruk, Assistant professor of health Policy and Management; and Lisa Metsch, Chair, Department of Sociomedical Sciences.
