« Back to Where We Work
ICAP began partnering with the Government of Mali in 2011, providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to establish and maintain strategic information systems and use data to inform HIV policies and programs, including for key populations. Our partners include the International Center for Excellence in Research (ICER) at the University of Bamako.
Strengthening Strategic Information for Health
ICAP provides technical assistance and capacity building to the MOH and key stakeholders to strengthen national capacity to utilize data from strategic information activities, quantify and characterize the HIV epidemic among key populations, and enhance monitoring and evaluation systems for HIV and integrated health programs.
This scope of work includes: HIV surveillance activities among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Bamako and miners in the Kayes region, and developing and implementing a national-level database to capture, manage, and disseminate HIV program data. (funded by PEPFAR through the CDC)
