The Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has resulted in over 31,000 cases of the disease with more than 600 deaths to date. A total of 25 countries have been affected around the world. This global outbreak raises many questions:

• Where did the virus come from?
• How is it transmitted? And what can people to protect themselves?
• What is the possible trajectory of this outbreak?
• What are the political, societal, ethical, and clinical implications?

Wafaa El-Sadr, MD, MPH, MPA, ICAP’s Global Director and University Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine at Columbia University, will moderate a panel to address these questions on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 12:00 –1:30 p.m. at the Mailman School of Public Health, 722 West 168th St., New York. The event is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
