Wafaa El-Sadr, MD, MPH, MPA, global director of ICAP, was interviewed on NHK Japan Broadcasting about the safety of vaccines. Dr. El-Sadr says:

“I definitely am concerned when I hear that vaccines that have not been shown to actually be effective and safe in rigorous, well conducted studies, would be widely used before we have any evidence to support their use. I think that’s rather reckless to do. It’s taking enormous risks with the population, so I think that the importance of going through the steps that are needed to prove that something works and is safe, is really critical.”
