COVID-19 and Older New Yorkers: Findings from the SILVER II Survey

While COVID-19 vaccines haves reduced morbidity and mortality from COVID-19, many older adults continue to alter their lifestyles due to COVID-19, including isolation from family and support networks. As a follow-on to the SARS-CoV-2 Impact on Lives and Views of Elderly Residents (SILVER) study, ICAP researchers contacted older adults living at home in New York City to understand the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 on this population. In its latest Grand Rounds webinar, ICAP will describe the long-term impact of COVID-19 on older adults sharing results from the second round of SILVER study and open a conversation with New York City health leaders to provide new insights into how COVID-19 is affecting this sector of our society and what steps can be taken to respond.
