ICAP’s Global Director, Wafaa El-Sadr, MD, MPH, MPA, spoke with City&State New York Instead, New York on the importance of meeting people where they are to share information about the vaccine and get them registered. This is especially true for older New Yorkers and non-native English speakers.

“New York should be meeting people where they are to spread information about the vaccine and get them signed up for an appointment,” said El-Sadr. “I suggest having workers devoted to helping older New Yorkers or those without internet access find and sign up for vaccine appointments.
