Dr. Pottinger, a trained virologist and former CDC official, explains what social distancing is and why it is so critical right now. She explains safe ways for people to conduct their daily activities, saying that it is safe to order takeout and recommending walks outside rather than visits to playgrounds. She also walks through the impact that social distancing can have on the spread of COVID-19, as officials continue implementing more stringent measures.
