ICAP

Strengthening Strategic Information for Health

ICAP provided technical assistance and capacity building to the MOH and key stakeholders to strengthen national capacity to utilize data from strategic information activities, quantify and characterize the HIV epidemic among key populations, and enhance monitoring and evaluation systems for HIV and integrated health programs.

ICAP partnered with the International Center for Excellence in Research to develop and implement HIV surveillance activities among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Bamako and miners in the Kayes region, and developing and implementing a national-level database to capture, manage, and disseminate HIV program data. This scope of work included a bio-behavioral survey conducted among MSM to estimate HIV prevalence among this key population and inform targeted prevention programs.
