ICAP

SOS: Tanzania COVID-19 Vaccinator Training to PLHIV and their Networks

This project was aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Mwanza through advocacy, communication, and training to disseminate accurate, comprehensive information about COVID-19 vaccines to communities. ICAP engaged religious and community leaders to raise community awareness and influence attitudes, norms, and practices towards COVID-19 vaccination services through meetings and small group discussions to address concerns and misconceptions and provide correct information about COVID-19 vaccines. In addition, ICAP trained health care and other COVID-19 frontline workers to deliver COVID-19 vaccination services. Furthermore, through the project, ICAP supported COVID-19 vaccine demand creation, provision, and data management activities to eligible populations (15 years and above) in the Mwanza region.
