Through this initiative, ICAP renovated child health corners and adolescent-friendly service centers at three of the largest health facilities in Nampula Province: 25 de Setembro, 1 de Maio, and Muhala Expansão.
The renovations at child health corners have provided children and their caregivers with an engaging, child-friendly space to play while waiting for consultations. Infrastructure interventions at centers for adolescents living with HIV provided patients with a safe, friendly space for meeting with their peers and learning more about how to safeguard their health with information provided on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, family planning, adherence to treatment, and other topics.
