To plan and keep track of Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe (DREAMS) programs, Lesotho and its CDC-funded country programs need to understand program saturation across all age bands in currently targeted DREAMS districts. In addition, country teams need to understand how many adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) who are at risk for HIV live in DREAMS subnational units to know if saturation has been reached. ICAP will conduct a size assessment of vulnerable AGYW in Lesotho during COP22 to better plan for and adapt programs in response to changes that may have occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.
DREAMS focuses on people who have had several sexual partners, have suffered violence, have sexually transmitted illnesses, use condoms infrequently or not at all, have transactional sex, are out of school, or have been orphaned.
