Technical assistance (TA), coordination, and strategic management to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation to maximize the reach and impact of Global Fund COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) funded interventions aimed at mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic impact on the health system and essential health services/programs, especially HIV, TB, and malaria.
In Nigeria, ICAP is providing TA to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health in the areas of risk communication, risk communication data analytics, project management geared at supporting the implementation, coordination, and consolidation of the GF-C19 RM project activities at the NCDC, and case management epidemiology, supporting Nigeria’s FMoH to develop a comprehensive database and manage data of all COVID-19 cases and deaths, including generating reports, standard operating procedures, guidance factsheets and more.
In Sierra Leone, ICAP seconded two technical experts — one to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation to support the Integrated Health Project Administration Unit, and the C19RM coordination unit, on grants administration, coordination, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with the Government of Sierra Leone and Global Fund policies and agreements. ICAP also supported the Directorate of Policy, Planning, and Information with program planning, monitoring, and evaluation for effective, evidence-based implementation of the Global Fund C19RM-funded interventions.
