Achieving the goal of vaccinating 10 to 20 percent of the city is still a far way off. ICAP’s Wafaa El-Sadr, MD, MPH, MPA, is concerned that despite months to prepare, there still seemed to be a steep learning curve when it comes to “the nitty-gritty of how do you get it from the freezer to the arm as quickly as possible,” she said. “I think there are growing pains as people are picking up how to do this.”
