On June 7, 2021 at 8:00-9:30 AM ET, join Dr. El-Sadr for the side event titled, “Science, HIV and Covid-19 — Where are we headed?” Award-winning journalist Jon Cohen will moderate the conversation — sponsored by UNAIDS, WHO, World Bank, and Africa CDC — on science relevant to the new UNAIDS global strategy and targets and the changing scientific environment that will take the world to 2030, the SDG target date. This conversation will convene global science leaders, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor to president Biden and director of NIAID at the U.S. NIH.

In addition, on June 8, 2021 at 1:15-2:45 PM ET, join Dr. Fadare for the side event titled, “Ending Inequalities for Children in the AIDS Response: Fighting Complacency and Closing the Gaps.” The side event will showcase the progress that can and has been achieved when political commitment, financing and community leadership come together to scale up state-of-the-art technology overcome inequalities and provide children at risk or living with HIV the best start in life and ensure they remain healthy to safely raise the next generation.
