The Cost of COVID-19: Understanding LGBTQ+ Experiences in New York City
As COVID-19 surges globally, causing widespread pain in lives lost and economic hardship, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community faces unique challenges. New York City is home to the largest LGBTQ+ population in the United States, with more than 700,000 LGBTQ+ residents. To gain insights into the burden of COVID-19 and the impact of the pandemic on this population, ICAP at Columbia University conducted the LGBTQ+ Experience due to COVID-19 in New York City (LEXICON) study from June – December 2021.
In its latest Grand Rounds webinar series, ICAP at Columbia University will present some of the findings from the recently completed LEXICON study.
