Mark Schnellbaecher comes to ICAP after a career working overseas leading humanitarian and refugee assistance programs for major international NGOs. From 2013 – 2020 he was the International Rescue Committee’s Regional Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, based in Amman. Prior to that he held a similar regional role, in Beirut, for Catholic Relief Services from 2002 – 2012. Earlier in his career Mr. Schnellbaecher lived and worked in Cambodia, Pakistan, Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo. Mr. Schnellbaecher grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
