Blanche Pitt, MSc

Interim Director


Ms. Blanche Pitt is currently the interim director for ICAP in Angola. She is a South African national with a post-graduate degree in health education and health promotion. Ms. Pitt is a public health specialist with over 30 years of experience in government and non-profit health sectors. She is highly experienced in project design and management and is an expert at building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, partners, and national health leaders.

Ms. Pitt has held various roles in ICAP. From 2011 to 2015, she served as country director for ICAP in Lesotho. Then from 2015 to 2021, she served as the country director for South Africa and was also the regional project director for PHIA until her retirement. During her tenure, she led ICAP’s highly successful portfolio of multiple projects focused on the scale-up of HIV/TB and HIV care and treatment.
