Supported by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Emergency International Task Force (ITF) funds, ICAP provided technical expertise in infection prevention and control, surveillance, procurement, and clinical services for the Ministry of Health’s national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the project, ICAP provided equipment such as respirators to two selected hospitals in Haut Katanga, training to health care workers, supplies, and consumables for personal protective equipment. ICAP support was targeted at health care workers and patients attending HIV clinics.
