ICAP

Almaty Model for Epidemic Control

The Elton John AIDS Foundation-funded Almaty Model for Epidemic Control is designed to create and implement a cost-effective, sustainable, and scalable city program that works effectively to achieve HIV epidemic control in Almaty.  Implemented by a consortium of local organizations led by ICAP, the project will focus on strengthening health care for people living with HIV and the most vulnerable communities, including people who use drugs, men who have sex with men, transgender people, and sex workers.  The project will build on locally-led solutions and governmental structures to strengthen the city’s clinical and community-based HIV service delivery using evidence-based and patient-centered interventions.
