Abstract
The easing of COVID-19 restrictions in southern Africa, including Zimbabwe, has seen most countries reopening schools for face-to-face learning. In this letter, Godfrey Musaka, country director for ICAP in Zimbabwe, and his co-author Tafadzwa Dzinamarira, University of KwaZulu Natal, discuss the challenges of reopening schools in the COVID-19 era and offer recommendations for safe learning environments.
