On March 9, Jessica Justman, MD, senior technical director at ICAP, spoke on WNYC’s Brian Lehrer Show in the morning and during an hour-long evening special, “Your Coronavirus Questions Answered.”

“Most of the cases that are transmitted among contacts are happening among household contacts, where you have more prolonged exposure to people who are going to be within four, five, six feet of you. They don’t appear to be as much related to casual contact. Even among household contacts in China [according to a new paper that has not yet received peer review] about 15 percent of household contacts were getting ill after exposure to a case.”
