Project Details
In collaboration with the Columbia University Earth Institute and the National Institute of Health (INS) , ICAP is conducting a research study to better understand the response of Mozambique’s health care system to climate change and disasters.
Through key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and an electronic questionnaire with various stakeholders, ICAP and INS will evaluate the attitudes toward disaster-response health policies on communities in Mozambique, determine the attitudes toward communication strategies pre- and post- climate disaster, identify areas for improvement at policy, community, and facility/structural levels and determine if lessons learned from the devastating 2019 cyclone season informed the response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
This project is funded by Columbia University. Find the study report here.
