Safe Generations

Project Details

ICAP recently completed a two-year study examining the magnitude and determinants of disengagement from care among HIV-positive pregnant women and infants enrolled in prevention of mother-to-child services under Option B+ in Swaziland. The study found substantial numbers of women and infants classified as lost to follow-up under Option B+ were engaged in care. These findings highlighted a need to strengthen systems to improve PMTCT services. (funded by NIH)
