Project Details

Although the number of people living with HIV in Guatemala is fairly low compared to other countries, high rates of infection are found among vulnerable populations such as men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women. Important gaps are showed along the HIV prevention and care cascade, making difficult for the country to reach 95-95-95 goals. ICAP is working CDC, the Ministry of Health, and PEPFAR-implementers, civil society groups, and other partners to improve current practices in to fast-track local capacity to meet national, PEPFAR, and UNAIDS goals, by implementing innovative, effective, and comprehensive capacity-building strategies that strengthen service delivery and human resources for health
