Project Details
Honduras was the Central America country where the first HIV case was reported in 1984. Although is considered a low burden epidemic, high rates of infection are found among vulnerable populations such as men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers and transgender women. Important gaps are showed along the HIV prevention and care cascade, making difficult for countries to reach 95-95-95 goals. ICAP is working with CDC, the Ministry of Health, and PEPFAR-implementers, civil society groups, and other partners to improve current practices in to fast-track local capacity to meet national, PEPFAR, and UNAIDS goals, by implementing innovative, effective, and comprehensive capacity-building strategies that strengthen service delivery and human resources for health
