The CHAMPS Network uses innovative approaches to generate and share knowledge that improves understanding and prevention of child mortality.

ICAP joined CHAMPS Sierra Leone in 2018 and provides support for its laboratory and diagnostic component as well as informatics and data systems. The CHAMPS project in Sierra Leone is funded by the Gates Foundation through Crown Agents.

ICAP’s laboratory and diagnostic support includes strengthening laboratory and pathology capacity for postmortem specimen collection and testing as well as Determination of Cause of Death (DeCoDe) panel activities.
