Witness Kanengoni serves as ICAP’s regional office director in South Africa. He brings extensive experience in designing, implementing, and improving organizational operations to support the implementation of programs for human development. While he started his career in the private sector—with significant experience in corporate and institutional governance, OD, operations systems design and management, grants, and contracts management—he has worked within the public health space as a senior program leader for over twelve years.
Prior to joining ICAP in September 2015, Witness worked for World Vision International, CARE International, and Save the Children, managing various project portfolios in senior roles at project, country and regional levels. Additionally, Witness has worked in the public sector, providing project oversight in governmental departments focusing on the development of community and rural development, trade, industry and commerce.
Witness is a chartered certified accountant, a chartered secretary and governance specialist, and a certified internal auditor. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe, a BA (Hons) in Development Administration and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of South Africa and a Masters (MA) in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University, Pennsylvania in the United States.
